Game: Machine Cupid

The heart of the Machine City is dead. Without it, bots descend into social chaos. Take over as the Spirit Of The Machine Heart. Seven districts, seven mobs with different social dynamics. They all look up to you, Machine Cupid! HEAL THEM ALL! ---- GOAL: Keep the balance (depicted on the slider on your screen) from reaching Total Hatred. You win a level if you can keep the pointer at Total Love for 10 seconds, and lose if you let it fall into Hate for 10 seconds. ---- GAMEPLAY: You float above the city shooting love arrows (point-and-click). Soon, bots of opposing colors will start to argue when they get close to each other. Shoot arrows into their midst to heal their hate. Some bots will rally others in protest against you. Some will spread fear of you. Take extra precaution against these. Occasionally, parts of the city will fall down. Shoot these drops to obtain powerups... but not all are beneficial... so beware! ---- DIVERSIFIER: We designed this game to be a simple parody of social issues. People with different ideas (bots of different colors), will argue unless a sense of goodwill intervenes. Some people (instigator bots) will spread poison, but the solution is simple enough: They just need to let some sun shine into their hearts.

Almost all game art has been hand-drawn, and painted in photoshop. Textures used on grounds and as grunge overlays over pictures have been taken from www.cgtextures.com. Many thanks for their excellent texture galleries. Great care has been taken to write as clean a code as possible. We used Sketchup for building models, 3DS Max for applying bipeds and animations, and Unity for all remaining development tasks. Finally, many of the effects have been taken from www.soundbible.com. Many thanks!
