This was a rather large team for the George Mason University GGJ site; this was a challenge, but it also allowed us to develop something short of amazing. Our game is playable as an .EXE and supports twitter players who contribute by tweeting power-ups into the local game. The downside is that you need to play this game on a large monitor or projector, have all four players equipped with XBOX360 controllers, and have a dedicated twitter account and app token interacting with a  PHP server and MySQL database. Not your typical GGJ game...

We tackled a lot of challenges; 3d models and animation, networked communication into the game engine, and local multiplayer. To top it off we created all original custom art and code, yeah that was unbelievable for less than 48hrs!

We are proud of this team, the project, and the results. Like all GGJ games, this one can and should be polished. Maybe after we all get some rest. The game files will be updated on this site as we add polish and more interactivity, check back soon for more details.

Very cozy basement lair you have there, sir. It was fun building this with everybody and I hope we can revisit it -- one of the judges wrote, "I’ve also got my fingers crossed for the future of Heart Dropper, which has the potential to become a really sweet Twitter-driven bar game."
