Game: Heart Attack!
Your body is being invaded by bacteria and viruses! Better fill up on drugs to defend against imminent doom! Don't be too overzealous though or you might OD. This game causes you to think about the ramifications of drug use and moderation. As you build more towers, the toxicity in your body rises. If you are not careful, your own defenses may become the very thing that destroys you. Only by building regulatory white blood cell towers can you counteract your own consumption. If all else fails, use the Epipen!

README: Welcome to Heart Attack! Heart Attack! is a tower defense game where you must defend your heart from microbial invaders. You have access to some medications that can help your body fight off infections, though taking any medication must be done with care. Every medication you take will increase the toxicity in your bloodstream, and unless you regularly detox your heart will fail. Controls: - Use left mouse button for everything. Let's not get crazy here. - You can click on existing medication to increase your prescription (thus making them more effective). Interface: MEDICATION (found in the bottom right corner of the screen, from left to right) - Instant-Detox: Gimme 50cc of adrenaline, straight to the heart, STAT! (Decreases toxicity by 50 instantly) - Time-Released Detoxer: Sitting down with a case of beers, a group of engineers at a sewage treatment facility wondered if they could apply similar filtration techniques to blood flowing inside the body. It turns out they could! Once embedded in a test-subject, this patent- and Medical Safety Board approval-pending filter periodically clears 2 toxins from the body. 25cc gets you access to experimental medicine and shiny, definitely fair non-disclosure-agreements and insurance waivers. - Microbial-Time-Distorter: Through the magic of SCIENCE!, modern medicine allows one to slow the rate at which infections experience time. At a cost of 15cc, this low-range medication should be placed at choke points. - Generophan: The first name in microbe-mashing, generophan is cheap (Buy now! ONLY 10cc!) and fast-acting, but not particularly potent. Frequent administration will help quell the assaults of lesser microbes, and generophan's long-range allows it to be placed in a variety of locations around the heart. - Hicks' Macro-rub: They called him mad! They were wrong. One fateful evening, the brilliant scientist Jonah A. Hicks' emerged from the smoking ashes of his laboratory with an invention that would change the world. His Macro-rub formula allowed the administration of medication on an area inside the body. Unfortunately for the ill, his alleged madness did not apply to his pricing schemes, and as a result this medium-ranged medication comes in at 20cc.
