Game: Emêluogna

Emêluogna is an interactive fairytale about a young girl and boy in the magical city of Angoulême. Inspired by street art in the city perhaps known best for its international comic festival, Emêluogna features digital interpretations of hand-drawn characters posted on brick walls along Rue de Bordeaux by Fred le Chevalier on a stylised map of his hometown Angoulême. Once upon a time in Angoulême, a small city in the south of France, a girl and boy fell in love. But his mother was not pleased. She forbid them from seeing each other. Somehow, they still found a way... Fill your lover's heart while keeping your own heart full. Elude the negative projections of his disdainful mother and brother. Feel the unconditional love of your adoring mother and sister. Press and hold to hide from his mother, but his brother may reveal you. Find solace in the one safe place you can be together: the premiere graduate programme for the creation of video games and interactive media. Emêluogna is a collaboration of Ashley Zeldin and John Nesky created in 27 hours at L’École nationale du jeu et des médias interactifs numériques, on the Cité internationale de la Bande Dessinée et de l'Image, featuring music by Noak Blottière.
