Game: (Anti)HeroQuest

The game begins when Sir Brave has just completed his heroic quest, defeating the Evil Sorcerer and avenging his brother's death. But when the Evil Sorcerer raises back from the dead, our (anti)hero begins to understand that even the most heroic deeds have consequences. Sir Brave receives another chance to either win or lose it all: to save his brother or end up dead himself. And so he retraces his steps all the way back to the start, trying to make a difference. But every step he takes to one direction is a step further away from another, and every choice he makes has a price to pay - in heartbeats. Sir Brave has a limited amount of heartbeats - for both himself and his brother Sir Noble - to take back to the beginning of his adventure. During the game he has to make choices, and all of them have a cost. Exploring the areas and solving puzzles will unlock more options. The choices Sir Brave has made during his journey will have an effect on how it ends.


Backwards: One or more aspects of the game works the opposite as would normally be expected: maybe the controller is reversed (left is right, right is left), maybe you win lives every time you die, maybe it scrolls to the left and your character moonwalks.

The game is made with RPG Maker VX Ace. To run the game, you need to install the Game Maker RTP runtime environment,
which can be downloaded from the software manufacturer's website at

To install the game, execute the (anti)HeroQuest.exe and extract the files. To run the game execute game.exe.

Controls: Use arrow keys to move, press Enter to interact. Press Esc to access character menu.

Nice feels and sounds like a game, a few bugs here and there and get stuck somewhere in the story, but it does not harm the atmosphere of the game itself and the idea of ​​the game has potential will ... :3
